Let there be light!

It is Year 2050, while we are at an advanced state of colonizing Mars and conquering universe once more. First time after the extinction of ancient civilizations which left various shastras for our scrutiny as technology texts, made the earthians dream bigger forever. We have continued to milk every drop of energy sources in planet Earth and had reached a time when we had to sadly accept other planets as home. As usual the average citizen was racing with rats, while our sun continued to glow with vengeance seeing what humans did in spite of all his hard work to keep the perfect living conditions in Earth.

As much as a cliche it would sound but somewhere in Japan, Mio Hana had dreamed of starting her own power company seeing the potential we humans had to harvest and harness the green energy. Mio's vision materialized in the form of RunSys, the very same year when man had planted the first paddy field in Mars after paying a fortune to start a new life. The only aide of RunSys was sun himself and at RunSys, Mio and her team, which she calls family proudly, dreamed of ways of using Sun to the benefit of people on Earth. RunSys seemed to be obsessed with solar energy, maybe as a result of the bright shiny world they were witnessing in the ozone depleted sky of theirs.

The breakthrough came days before Mio's mom was chartered to move to Mars in the forthcoming flight to witness the celestial journey which was probably the last chance for the millennials to be sky bound as the new world was not expecting old wisdom to add any value to the AI assisted brain cell mounted cerebrum of the newer generations. RunSys invented the solar panel which was as big as what an iPhone would have looked in 2025 with the ability to store enough wattage to charge that old iPhone ten times over with 20 times the charging speed of the latest AI brain cell. Yami, the new solar cell could sit on the pockets of its users and was welcomed on the Yami Stations across Japan.

RunSys installed their portable power stations to every train station. Interestingly Mio had envisioned every living being who were left back in the planet Earth would be her customers. She had handed over free iPhone shaped solar charging panels (Yami) to every citizen in her city. A normal day would start at 12Noon, as people were busy living their night life inside their AI brains within the fantasy metaverse they had created all while sitting on their couch. There was no urgency to work as most governments had turned welfare states with its citizens often lacking the zeal which came as a by-product of the circadian rhythm. The welfare states however limited the people who ended up using all their citizen credits on the 30G network which was required to make the AI brain cells work the way they promised. This AI brain cells were the new drug in fashion which showed no limits of imagination and could very well make a person live and die within the fantasy world they created. As in any socialist state, its people had started to lack motivation due to the sheer lack of rewards that could drive them.

Mio seemed to have a plan for everything, her idea of charging back the citizen's account with the required credits based on the power deposited as and when they connect their Yami in those large Yami Stations was a new revolution of its own which Japan never envisioned. Mio had started to turn into a new hero in all the metaverses that were equally popular and populated in both Mars and Earth alike. Avatars with Mio's bulbous nose was trending and everyone seemed to have started to believe that Mio wore a cape. The revolution was not because of just Yami but the meticulous way of connecting it to people's purse and making them less dependent on the pension and welfare. The adoption of Yami was slow in the beginning but it picked up pace when many young girls who seems to be Mio's followers started to wake up early to collect more sun in their Yami. The journey to Yami stations became the new mass commute problem for states to solve by arranging more human pick-up drones from various pick-up points to be dropped at Yami stations. Mio and RunSys didn't stop here, they went ahead and created the Yami Coin which could be traded on the newly formed Hana exchange.

The greed of another Bitcoin in Yami Coin made the crowd wake up before sun  and be ready to get multiple charging cycles enabling them to collect more Yami Coins in return. The Yami Coin became the De facto currency in Japan which stood tall among all other cryptocurrencies and once popular Yen. This revolution put the circadian rhythm, dreaming big and motivation to fashion once again. People started seeing light in the end of the earth tunnel and the desires to stay back in Earth increased with many consciously missing out on their completely paid out interplanetary trips.

As always, every country started mimicking the success of Mio, they developed their own cheap copies of Yami and some smart countries decided to welcome RunSys and allowed them to change their worlds. Mio had understood that it was time for her to look for the next challenge, to create the technology to become the balance that cools the earth enough to overcome the global warming in ways it never imagined.

Long story short Mio Hana realized that she had found her ikigai, and it was to save this planet earth in her own ways to make the beautiful Sakura blossom every March forever and let other Mio's to come - Dream!

Living with AI to living in AI

Humans and robots co-existing as friends and having emotional bonds looks a reality waiting for us. Humans have started to procure various pleasure toys, bestie robot, pets etc. These close encounters might definitely affect real pets and their life in this world. However the hormones they help in producing can also be triggered up by these virtual devices and this is what in reality human mind is looking for. Mindfulness missing on our actions due to mobile is one of the most popular discussion in various popular books and YouTube channels. We have reached a stage where we take mobile phone to toilet accompanying us while getting exposed to many dangerous bacterias and ignoring    concentrating on bowel movements which is considered to be a form of meditation. We are happy our goal is achieved but we overlook the impact of this action on our body and mind. Reduction of attachment to family is at all time high as we can always connect to people of our taste based on the flavor...

Do we need God?

“If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him” - Voltaire The simple answer to who needs God is “everyone”. Why we need God could be different.   As many scholars and philosophers had taught us over last few generations. Religion and belief had played a key role in creating societies and civilisations. Without religion or a common thread of belief system or culture for that matter, we humans cannot be organised and disciplined. I do agree there will be always those outliers who could manage without a system. What happens without a system is well understood assuming most of my readers are living in countries which has an order. Theories on how it all started could be that alien as aliens themselves would feel less alien. Is it a culture that we often label as religion? Is it common practices? Is it a doctrine and set of rules that makes up a religion? Is it God’s words translated by other humans before us that constitutes a religion? It could be all of these and ...

Investing Today versus Yesterday

India is a developing country and the ambition in our youth to have a crore in their bank is also developing in same pace. Wealth of India and Indians is a well-known phenomenon in this world. We were once considered the richest land. Even now we have few wealthy people who can give tough competition to other rich men around the planet. Indians grow up understanding and tagging wealth to gold and property. Most of the current generation had seen a struggling prior generation and/or heard of previous generations working hard to earn wealth. Most of the Indians didn't have housing in earlier generations and the ones who had been the landlords often lending money and renting property to the larger masses. This practice had led to our ancestors often linking richness to having property for rent.  Our rich dad poor dad preaches us to have assets which are earning bucks for us versus sitting idle and shut which links to having rented property. We often overlook the fact that when is buyi...
