Humans and robots co-existing as friends and having emotional bonds looks a reality waiting for us. Humans have started to procure various pleasure toys, bestie robot, pets etc. These close encounters might definitely affect real pets and their life in this world. However the hormones they help in producing can also be triggered up by these virtual devices and this is what in reality human mind is looking for.
Mindfulness missing on our actions due to mobile is one of the most popular discussion in various popular books and YouTube channels. We have reached a stage where we take mobile phone to toilet accompanying us while getting exposed to many dangerous bacterias and ignoring concentrating on bowel movements which is considered to be a form of meditation. We are happy our goal is achieved but we overlook the impact of this action on our body and mind.
Reduction of attachment to family is at all time high as we can always connect to people of our taste based on the flavor of life we want to taste and as per the time of the day we are connecting. We have unknowingly distanced ourselves from our dear ones and the real people around us in the form of neighbours.
Forgetting the environment we live in with the help of VR and AR. Most times we are so comfortable to teleport ourselves to other worlds seeking other worldly pleasure and happiness with the help of AR. While we think of using the extended reality to extend the fun in life, mind is getting more and more complicated as it leads to multifold parameters to be considered for decision making and hormone management.
Emotional attachment to your devices versus real people. Be it cost based or connection based on usage. Removes the need for our own people. Families fail based on the exposure levels of its people to fake worlds. Most people seem to be living inside their mobile phones more than at their home even while they make excuses at work to be with family.
The present day parents excel in throwing devices at young minds and feeling proud on how they manoeuvre it. Many times it is a go to trick so they are themselves not challenged to live in their fantasy worlds. However the negative impacts are already showing up in many households but neglected by calling it a new way of life.
Reduction in creative intelligence and popularising the use of AI and as a matter of fact normalising it is one of the most interesting things to be done to humans as it gives a level playing ground for weaker section of the society who got very few people living in their upstairs. However we call it creative support and feel great but remember the real brains who are creative of course gets killed in long run as the less creative minds get popularity and thrive on such assistance.
Yes, overall for humanity learning to use the resources around us and exhausting it had been the primary goal in this planet but killing originality and getting it extinct can just become a future by-product.
AI companies deciding what and how should human minds think as they decide what data gets into our brain using content management which is theirs to control as they control what news, feeds, reels and other content gets into our visibility. This definitely has a great level of influence on human thinking ability and is getting impaired in some ways.
Potential to program human brains via content to make them super intelligent or super dumb based on the need of the generation will become a reality. But intelligence going to be in the hands of those few who makes decisions and drive innovation.
Physical and mental health is giving us a red flag for few years now. With the extended use of online shopping, food orders, and other facilities, we have already comforted our mind and body to embrace laziness and exploit the variety of choice. Once we are there going back to healthier lifestyle is only for tough minds. We often realise that this is not pocket friendly without others advices but what we overlook is it is not healthy for your body and mind too. In a battle between comfort & convenience of today versus healthy body and mind for long term, convenience wins hands down. We are the sum of the choices we make and hope we continue to consider our long term goals as much as our short term ones.
Danger of propaganda publishing is now yesteryear’s story, we have seen YouTube content can influence investments from retail blind followers. Books and other content which focuses on certain propaganda will become rampant as we continue to decode where and how to hit our human minds and in what magnitude. We would lead to a generation which would be proud being tech savvy but missing out on the emotions which make us humans.
There is a possibility that AI become more humane than humans itself considering its ability to interpret righteousness and ethics. However it gives the control to the corporates to plan for what kind of generation a nation would need and give relevant exposure to people without their knowledge. There will be a time when a nation only produces citizens with certain required skills where they want to excel on. What will happen to the individuality and uniqueness of every human mind needs to be seen.
Looking back at the experience of how we all got addicted to internet first and then phone and later social media, there is a high chance of AI ruling our thoughts. AI is creeping into every aspect of human life and if we are benefiting from it then why not? How much is enough is the question we are all going to explore living it?
The future world wars will shed less blood and more GPUs for sure and in a way make world a better place to live. We trust AI to drive our cars, cook and feed us, give emotional support, guide and mentor us, only thing left is the marriage between AI and humans which won’t be far in future. We are destined to witness it soon.
Humans had been always working hard to overcome death. Philosophy tells us we overcome death through our children and some others believe in rebirth while some religions tells us they transport us to a different world whatever you would like to call them. The only thing separating human to a machine is the consciousness and I think once man figures out how to do it. Then there is no death! Remember you are in reality the collection of your experiences. What consciousness assimilate and make out of it is that matters most, if that can be stored and managed, then you and the computer becomes one leading to unprecedented possibilities.
Your mind would live your life in a computer experiencing everything you go through in your human life interacting with another AI with other person’s consciousness as it’s all neural network.
When the physical body wants to give up, there might be an opportunity to buy your way into living forever as an AI and be available for your future generations as a mentor and guide if they chose to interact with you and we never know the future generations of humans might turn into AI avatars living AI life in some metaverse. While we are still contemplating property investment in Mars and a ticket too, mankind has a possibility to go one step further and live life inside a hard disk which could he human state in solid state.
We can dream all we want, but let’s be ready to embrace the technology taking life to next level in this single player game named ‘Life’, where the map that we explore expands from physical to virtual world as it also thins the gap between them.
AI would touch our world and reach those who are destined for it. We have to be ready to embrace it wholeheartedly and life happily ever after in memories and in MBs of SSD, if at all it takes us there.
Finally what matters is the rhythm of mind, body, soul which would now change to mind, alternate mind and soul. Keep the harmony and music will continue…….
It's a good thin line explanation between technologies and the present lifestyle. It's really a fact that we are humanly connecting more with the technologies, which are limiting the creative part of our brain. Anyway the true creativity comes from human experience, emotions, and predictions.
