Life at some point brings back to us the flashes of mistakes we did. The day those starts haunting you, you will start seeing you as an antagonist against the protagonist, that you had been conveniently playing in the lives around you.
A crushed dream, a broken heart, a swollen bone, a happy moment, a lost comrade, it all becomes stories at some point in life. Is that the point which brings back the flashes of mistakes we did?
A human life in this planet Earth where most of my readers are from is becoming very predictable with a life starting with studies to jobs to marriage/property/assets to kids to grandkids to EOL(End Of Life). Most of us wants to be alive to continue one stage of this life and reach the next. What we often miss in the grand plan is what most project plans include without doubt a retrospective.
How many of us can face us in this retrospective meeting with our own souls or conscious mind? Mostly none!
We all rebel in our teenage and dream of being different, we accuse the older folks for being old generation and it continues forever without really knowing which one really is the new generation. Are we really living our dreams? Or just playing the role in the script written by some unknown craftsman? Are our dreams really ours? Isn't either stolen, heard from others, mimicked from other successful people, or imposed by society. Why do we own it up as ours?
The sages and preachers of this world had taught us that we should be able to answer our conscience but they themselves mostly take up those jobs to overcome their sins. Is there really something like sin? Isn't it something made to satisfy the dogmas of this world? Why would we follow the moral values of a society which doesn't want anyone else to be successful than them?
Why the holy men of early civilizations feared science and categorized it as witchcraft? Did they already know that with more science their control on the society will be overturned? If yes, shouldn't we really follow them as they turned out to be a visionary considering where this world has reached now. Does that also mean the dogmas they created are also the best practices of this world?
Isn't many people born in this world by a mistake? Why we want to be always right and the right path? Why is there a wrong path? Isn't life all about experiences and finding your path? Don't you think it's your thoughts that makes you feel a certain righteousness or fallacy in a path. These thoughts which are constructed by the mind or brain which is capable only to work with the data it possess. And most of us agree hands down that we don't know enough about anything when it comes to brain and knowledge. Then what makes us proud and egoistic?
Isn't ego good if it gives confidence to move forward and achieve great things in life? Then is it the way ego is used which matters and not the ego itself? If ego itself doesn't matter then why most spirituality is shuttling around the ego concept? Does it hurt their ego if ego is ignored? Don't we often mistake someone's confidence as ego and proudness? Are we already making a mistake thinking am having an ego since am speaking as I know about ego?
Do we really need to find what is our goal in life? Or make goals prescribed to us by this world our priority? Does it matter if we are to sit and answer us at some point on all those mistakes which are decisions or actions that gave non beneficial outcomes? Is it worth worrying about future if the future includes next second also? What difference did that thoughts of next second make to us now?
Why is it that all stories when told from our own perspective we are the hero and when we hear it from others perspective we are just a participant? Aren't we all supposed to be the same and all these sum of all parts again us itself? If man had found that already then why do we need to think and retrospect instead just help others who are again us and be glad we are alive?
Are we all wanting to live longer than what we want to, to tell these stories longer than we could wish to those who are us in different bodies who will finally be all together somewhere and recycled back to life?
Interesting life!

Another yet again..beautifully written thoughts. Real nice and makes me think about it....!
ReplyDeleteYou know what’s beautiful about life? It’s the fact that every single day we have a decision. We can choose to learn new things or just hang out with more positive and supportive people.
If you’re a human being, chances are you’ve definitely made tons of mistakes, most of which you’re not very proud of.
But if the universe doesn’t care, why should you?.. Right??
And as a matter of fact, we dwell on our past so much that we literally blindfold ourselves when real opportunities to improve and move forward show up.
But what value does it eventually bring???
Enjoy every step you take, every decision you make and every small thing that gets you closer to appreciate life. There’s a reason if 'enjoy the process' is one of the most cliche sayings!
Excellent one Arun.
